Established in September 2025, Horatec Group brings together three Swiss companies with complementary industrial expertise in surface treatment, complex metal machining and high-precision micromechanics. Demanding surface treatments for the aerospace industry<\/strong><\/p>\n

Steiger Galvanotechnique<\/strong>, based in Ch\u00e2tel-Saint-Denis (canton of Fribourg), has for a number of years been developing\u00a0advanced surface treatment processes for aluminium, nickel and special alloys<\/strong>, specifically adapted to the extreme demands of the aerospace industry.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0space<\/strong>\u00a0sector, Steiger works in particular on\u00a0on-board<\/strong>\u00a0aluminium components<\/strong>, often for satellites, applying\u00a0low-emissivity<\/strong>\u00a0treatments. This type of finish helps to\u00a0control thermal radiation<\/strong>\u00a0in the vacuum of space, which is essential for the reliability of on-board electronic and optical components.<\/p>\n

The company also specialises in\u00a0SurTec\u00a0650<\/strong>\u00a0treatments, an extremely delicate chemical process that optimises\u00a0interlayer adhesion<\/strong>, enhances\u00a0corrosion resistance<\/strong>\u00a0and ensures excellent compatibility with\u00a0technical paint<\/strong>. As regards\u00a0engineering alloys<\/strong>, Steiger processes complex parts made of\u00a0nickel<\/strong>,\u00a0silver<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0nickel\/Teflon<\/strong>\u00a0for the aviation industry, with a focus on\u00a0reducing friction<\/strong>,\u00a0preventing adhesion<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0enhancing durability<\/strong>. All treatments are carried out with a high level of traceability and reproducibility, which is vital for critical components.<\/p>\n
